Road trip...road trip...road trip...
Hello Everyone,
So I am wayyyyyy behind in my blog posts...so in the next couple of days I will attempt to try and get you all caught up. The Garris family has had a very busy last couple of months in 2010. We embarked on a road trip to visit family over Thanksgiving that allowed us to spend some quality time with loved ones. The trip began with an overnight stay in Rockforde, IL...in a Days Inn that was less than glamourous. A small full sized bed and a little bathroom were met with cheers and excitiment from our girls...Ava exclaimed, "This is the best night ever Mommy & Daddy! Thank you so much!" As you can tell she is easy to please, and such a trooper when it comes to road trips! The girls did amazingly well. We drove to Minnesota first to visit my sweet niece Luci and awesome nephew Gabe...as well as my sister and brother in law. We had a great time eating and taking care of the kids during the day. We asked Gabe if there was anything in the world that he could do what would it be...Corey tried to coax him into some great answer...like, "Go around the world..." or...."Go to outer space..." Gabe simply answered, "Play with Ava..." So sweet...Ava unfortunately got quite sick...with a bad stomach bug on the last day in Minn. She was trowing up for hours...and into the next day where blue anti-freeze looking popsickle came spewing out of her mouth en route to Lincoln, NE...stopped at McDonalds in Minn...cleaned her up...you get the picture...NOT FUN! Yucky!
We then made it to Nebraska a tired bunch from a night of terror...only to be met with a loving warm beautiful home...nothing beats parental love...so blessed. We had a great time seeing extended family, opening gifts, and recovering from sickness with lots of love and care. The girls were able to drive around a sweet Barbie jeep that is currently still being worked on by Grandpa! If anyone can fix it Grandpa Garris can!!!! We believe in him :)....I will update more as I post pics!
Love,

The proud new owner of some more "Little People"!

Ava's B-Day this year was quite special...as we thought back at such a full and awesome year with her. She is super tall, super beautiful, and super smart...we are indeed blessed beyond words. Abuela and Abuleo were in town to celebrate the actual day. We went to the zoo on Saturday, and took a trip to the local CiCi's pizza! (Her fav joint to eat :) Daddy's too!) She got some great gifts, books, CD's a new puppy, a "In-motion" game for the TV, some new "Little People" for the bath and a lego castle! Of course Dora Pj's and a new puzzle didn't hurt either! She got some jewelry and a new jewelry box from a friend...she is growing up way too fast for us...we hope she never stops cuddling with us and telling us how much she loves us...what a joy it is to have her in our lives!
