Update

Hello Everyone,

So...many of you may have missed it, BUT Corey actually posted a blog post this last time along with a couple of shots of the girls, so if you missed it- then you should stop reading my post and begin on his ;)....Corey and I were blessed...no other word to describe it...BLESSED to go and be a part of a destination wedding for our friends Jackie and John in Marco Island, FL. To say that I was a bit hesitant to go would be an understatment. The night prior to our departure I slept a total of 2 hours. Sheer adrenaline got me on the plane to Florida. Our flight left at 6 a.m. and our good friend Christin was gracious enough to take us to the airport. I had already cried 3 times in one hour so I wasn't very hopeful about the up coming 3 days away from our girls. Thoughts swirled about in my head..."Will Rylee remember me? Will Ava hate us for leaving her? What if Rylee doesn't eat? What if Rylee walks for the first time and I miss it? Is Ava going to behave?" I have never felt such a sense of guilt....BUT I knew that this was going to teach me some really important lessons on control...and letting go, and trusting in God for their lives...Afterall, aren't they His to begin with? SO....off we went, and the minute I arrived in Florida I had already called my Mom 3 times...She told me, "Stop calling! Have a good time!" She also reassured me that everything was going well...the girls were indeed in wonderful hands. The minute Corey and I got on that island...we had the most amazing time! The water was blue and pristine, the sand as white as snow, the pool extravagant, the room awesome, and the company...well the company was sooooooooo welcoming, warm, and wonderful....The wedding was amazing, the food SOOOOOO good, the weather perfect, and my time with Corey: PRICELESS. We relaxed, we talked, we laughed, we had fun, and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we are already trying to plan our next trip! HA! We remembered what it was like to just talk and not have a million things swirling around us...church work details....babies crying and needing attention....housework needing to be done...Life can swallow you up sometimes, can't it? It's been swallowing me whole for quite some time...Life as a stay at home Mom isn't glamorous...I work and rarely ever get a pat on the back...a "Good Job Cyndia!"...or a "Man you can eat off that toilet!" (Although Corey does his best to reaffirm me...it can never be "quite" enough!) The trip was medicine for my soul....Truly...and it was medicine for Corey as well. There is rarely a time lately where he doesn't get a call during dinner for something work related...and thoughts are always on his heart regarding improving something or helping someone...We learned the great lesson...of giving it all up to One who is way bigger than anything we could ever deal with..and RESTING....oh how good rest is!!!! The wedding was also such a great picture of extravagant love...the 2 families joining...becoming ONE! Everything was so beautiful...We tried to take a couple of pics and videos for your enjoyment...BUT please if you are the jealous type, you should stop reading and looking, because what you are about to see is paradise...Coming home was a bit bumpy, missed a flight and came home a bit later...BUT that was the only thing bad that happened...and of course coming home to a "You are the best parents in the whole world!" from Ava hit the spot! The girls did so amazingly well....and My Mother and Father (for part of the time) deserve awards....She took such good care of them! I missed them so! I am enjoying every second with them...even the time outs! Their smiles, laughter and squeals were music to my heart and soul...Absence certainly made this Mother's heart fonder....Enjoy the latest...there is also a picture of the family on Father's Day! ENJOY!

Love,
Cyndia for Corey, Ava, and Rylee
