A Milestone Past 2 Weeks!
Hello Everyone,
So the update....in a span of 2 weeks Ava is officially crawling, standing up, pulling up on to things, getting into trouble, has a major tooth sticking out, and is getting over some major stranger anxiety...not bad for an 8 month old! We've had to lower her crib, put pillows around the floor to protect her little tumbles, and soon enough will have to get the baby gates in place as she has already stood on her own un-assisted for a span of 2 seconds! HA! For quite sometime Ava has thrown absolute fits when anyone else other than her father and I have held her- but this past weekend you will see that Ava made a friend...Our good friends Elbie and Dave Foote came for a visit this past weekend, and Ava was absolutley smitten by Elbie. She played for close to a hour and half with Elbie, and could have cared less if either Corey and I were in the room! She was also held during worship by our friend Staci Yoder (who she proceeded to spit up on! Sorry Staci!)I have been praying alot that she would get over it quickly...and I am hoping that it continues to get better.
I am going to be helping out with yet another wedding this week, and Corey continues to truck along- busy as ever with a new season of the church's mens basketball league. Life is challenging and wonderful all at the same time. We wouldn't change anything about it. I still continue to long for the day that we have a home...and God continues to remind me of the things that I am so thankful for...we have been given so much. A healthy daughter...an apartment with a sweet membership to an athletic club, a community that abounds in love and faithfulness, and provision for all of our needs....Yes, I have much to be thankful for... Happy Father's Day!
Hello Everyone!
I wanted to post these very sweet shots of Ava and her Daddy for all of you fathers out there! This morning (Father's Day) Ava woke up at 5:30 a.m. Her Daddy was taking the early morning shift to give Mommy a much needed break :)...Well Ava awoke unfortunately still tired. Playtime became sleep in Daddy arm time...which gave way to these absolutely sweet shots of Ava resting in her Father's arms. I began to cry...so sweet...The black and whites are when she finally woke up after sleeping an additional hour in her Father's arms. She was all smiles...such a treat! I will post more shots soon- and give an even better update as much has happened!

Swimming Fun & Dedcation
Hello Everyone,
It's amazing how quickly time goes by- isn't it? Ava is already 8 months old today, and experiencing so many things for the first time. She was dedicated to the Lord this past weekend- the ceremony was so beautiful, and we had abuelo and abuela colon, and my grandma Carmen (not really a blood grandma, but a grandma to us nevertheless) come and witness it. Ava also took her first dip in the pool. She has since been in a second time and absolutely LOVES it! (Abuela Carmen got Ava this SWEEEEET ladybug raft that she sits in....you will also see her awesome swim gear also provided by abuela. We are going to make sure that we get video footage of it soon. We were so bummed we didn't take the camera with us!) But as you will see from the different video posts it took some getting used to! HA! The first video was way short because some kids were bothering me to open the pool door....grrrrr...so the second and third videos you will see Ava has warmed up to the pool. Hope you enjoy!
